WHO WE ARE


Food World Group is a dynamic and fast growing family business based in Bahrain. Its operations are spread across Bahrain and Indian Sub-continent. The group owns and operates a chain of Supermarkets, Department Stores, and Cafes.

Food World, a division of Sim Sim Group established in 1980, by visionaries who envisioned Department Stores and Supermarkets that will offer the best merchandise in customer friendly outlets. Their vision was to provide the merchandise in a very reasonable price to its customers. Sim Sim group’s business operations were shaped and influenced by the combined experiences of its Directors in the retail industry. It has an aggressive advertising and promotion strategy which calls for constant visibility in print and other Medias throughout the years.

    Director's Message

    During these years we have committed in making the Group’s service and product offerings consistent, doing so through disposals, creations of subsidiaries and acquisitions. We have successfully extended its geographic presence, with outlets in Bahrain and India.
    With every step, we have moved closer to our mission of pioneering, innovating and developing our group, thus creating value for our patrons and the region we thrive in. All of this has been made possible thanks to the Group’s staff who have made their cultural differences into major assets, both from a human, technical and sales perspective – Mohammed Khalid
    Starting with modest beginnings in 80’s, SIM SIM GROUP has grown into a company with a vast network. The group has always lived by the group motto of “GROWING TOGETHER WITH TRENDS”. This has been well appreciated by all our clients. Thereafter our vision was to expand the business to multiple streams like Cafes, Restaurants etc. Our innovative approach, our constant focus on excellence and quality, and our ability to identify business opportunities have enabled us to expand rapidly. Today, our group motto has put us firmly on our way towards becoming a strong player in the retail industry.
